Royston Fall Fesitval, October 13, 2012Royston Fall Fesitval, October 13, 2012

We came, we saw, we had cheesesteaks.

This past Saturday, October 13, 2012, my family and I went to Royston’s Fall Festival.  There were a ton of people there so we ended up parking down the street at the Methodist Church where they were having a pumpkin carving demonstration.  We made our way down Bowers Street towards the sound of music and the smells of food.

We walked around and saw all the booths.  There was free cotton candy and my youngest son got a free balloon which made his day and amazingly hasn’t popped yet.  The bounce house set up was amazing except I wasn’t allowed to go in one, something about being too old or too big.

The music was rocking and the crowds were piling up around the food vendors.  There was about every type of food you could want there.  From funnel cakes to polish sausage and it all smelled great.  In the end we settled on eating at Bob’s Small town Grill as we wanted to sit down to eat.  The meal was excellent and the service fast and friendly.

All in all it was a fun time and a great family outing for us.  We got to meet some new people, listen to great music, eat some delicious food, and get out in the sun!  I can’t wait until next year and maybe this time they will let me in one of those bounce houses!
