Who is teaching our children?

One in four teenage girls in the U.S. has an STD, according to the Centers for Disease Control.  In Proverbs 22:6 we are told to Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.  What happens when the world is the one doing the training?  I would say that when the world trains our children the things we see every day are the expected results.  We all know a story about that one troubled youth.  The one that comes from a broken home, the one that gets into fights at school, the one that is always in trouble for lying.  We all know this youth.
Training a child is far more than just talking to him or her about life.  Don&rsq ...

Happy New Year From NEGA Direct

Well, 2012 came and went with barely a whimper.  Seems like everyone was wrapped up in the thought that maybe the Mayan’s were right and the world would just cease to exist.  With all the bad news that came right there at the end it almost seemed possible.  In the end though, time just kept marching on and here we are in 2013!
I know I, like most of us, have things I want to accomplish this coming year.  2013 is before us with all the opportunities waiting to be discovered.  All we have to do is go and get them!  I love the New Year, that feeling of freshness and the idea that we have a clean plate, the old is gone and the new is here!  It remi ...

This past Saturday Royston residents got treated to an awesome parade.  There were floats and tons of candy for all the kids.  I also experienced one of the loudest fire engines I have ever heard in my life.  We got to Royston right at 430 and found a spot on the street in front of Hall's and had a great view.  A good crowd came out to see the parade but I think the rain in the area may have caused some folks to stay home.
Lots of candy! I really mean that, it was basically raining candy.  Personally we scored about 7 pounds or so of the sugary treats.  Not sure if we can even eat it all but we couldn’t just leave it on the street!  Favorite moment ...

Fall Festival Fun in Royston

We walked around and saw all the booths.  There was free cotton candy and my youngest son got a free balloon which made his day and amazingly hasn’t popped yet.  The bounce house set up was amazing except I wasn’t allowed to go in one, something about being too old or too big.
The music was ro ...
